MAUDE MAGGART
Maude was born and raised in New York City, and began her singing career in West Hollywood at Tom Rolla's Gardenia, the legendary cabaret and launching pad of her mentors, Andrea Marcovicci and Michael Feinstein.

Since her cabaret debut in 2001, Maude has gained a loyal following and critical acclaim, performing in cabarets and theaters across the United States and Europe; notably her longtime yearly engagement at The Oak Room of The Algonquin Hotel in New York City.

Maude has been the featured performer in a multitude of orchestral performances, including: The Oregon Festival of American Music, lead by legendary bandleader Dick Hyman; Michael Feinstein's concert series at Carnegie Hall “Standard Time”, and the national live radio broadcast of “A Prairie Home Companion” with Garrison Keillor at both Town Hall in New York City, and at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

She has also performed at the Lapham's Quarterly “Decades Ball” annual gala; at the Allen Room at Lincoln Center with Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks, and had the honor to sing for Dr. Cornel West's retirement celebration at Princeton University.

On film, Maude can be seen in the Johnny Mercer documentary for TCM, “This Time the Dream's On Me”, directed by Clint Eastwood and produced by legendary jazz documentary director, the late Bruce Ricker. She was also one of the guest stars of the PBS television series “The American Songbook.”

Maude has received awards for excellence from Time Out New York, The Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs and Backstage. She has been the subject of NPR's Morning Edition, and is favorite of radio personality Jonathan Schwartz.

Maude has recorded songs with such luminaries as Ray Jessel, John Lithgow, David Lucky, Molly Ryan, Brent Spiner, and her sister Fiona Apple, with whom she is currently recording a new project. Maude has five solo albums to her credit; the latest of which, “Here Come the Dreamers”, is available this summer.

Conjuring Big-Screen Romance - by Stephen Holden - New York Times

"Imagine Alice in Wonderland as a beautiful dreamer besotted with old movies and vintage love songs. That enchanting, slightly unstable creature materialized at Café Carlyle on Tuesday evening in the person of Maude Maggart, a child of show business, whose new show, “The Door Opened,” sprinkled fairy dust into the room. If you inhale too much of it, God help you. But in small amounts, it is an extremely seductive perfume

With her ethereal voice, whose spinning vibrato invites otherworldly apparitions that you might be tempted to confuse with reality, Ms. Maggart, who was accompanied on piano by John Boswell, is a singular cabaret artist who conjures a dream world. Magical transformations are commonplace."
